How far is it that de la hoya outboxes floyd jr?

serioulsy.with all the hype it would seem like dlh doesnt have a chance outboxing mayweather.when in fact de la hoya beat an alltime great pernell whitaker BOXING! that night whitaker refused to fight and backed away punching while de la hoya used quik fire rapid punches to sway the judges in his favor (by the way the "knockdown" was because of a forearm)anyhow sweet pea is legueas better than mayweather in my opnion but i guess what i am trying to ask..will you be suprised if de la hoya wins a unaminous or split descion? why?
How far is it that de la hoya outboxes floyd jr?
de lahoya has been in boxing for a while now n has fought many great boxers n really went in there to fight not just to get a win like mayweather thats why delahoya is a living legend already, but hes fighting so many big name fighters that i wonder dam is mayweather the straw that broke the camels back, mayweather has playd tag most of the time and truely lost that first fight to castillo a fighter that im sure hoya would destryo big props to castillo how ever he good but not de lahoya good, maywaetrher might have a chance if he goes in n runs n plays tag but i think de lahoya will win cuz mayweather is out of his natural wieght class, just like when hoya went up for hopkins n lost, same thing will happen here to mayweather n he will also lose go OSCAR!
Reply:yes dlh is coming to the end of his career. but who has mayweather really fought other than corrales? gotti which i love watching him fight is at the end of his career a beat down nobody in his last fight please come on people mayweather is not the best pound for pound ever like eveyone says he is. Report It
Reply:Oscar KO 6 Floyd Mayweather Jr. Report It
Reply:If you think Oscar beat Sweet Pea then there is no sense even arguing why Oscar wont touch Floyd. Oscar is not this powerful beast HBO tries to make him out to be. Yes he has a decent left hook but unless youre a face first boxer or someone past their prime he doesnt take you out early. When is the last time he got to someone early? And when is the last time he KO'ed a world class fighter (Mayorga doesnt count and Vargas was bulked up on Vitamin S)? it's been a LONG time. Dont expect him to come out and blow away the best boxer on the planet. Youre only kidding yourself and you'll lose a lot of money if you bet it on the Golden Boy to win.

Sorry but Floyd dominates Rds. 3-8 on the way to Freddie Roach throwing in the towel as Oscar is getting battered on the ropes.
Reply:oscar cant outbox floyd in this or any lifetime...hes way past his prime and had two fights against chumps since he unretired...yes mayorga was a chump...a guy with a big mouth , a title, and few boxing skills...a perfect set up for oscar, a gift...guys with fast hands and good movement have given oscar fits, much like his two fights with sugar shane...toward the end of the fight oscar will be flailing at air trying for a miracle KO...he got a real gift getting to fight mayorga for a title...I expect that both of them will retire after this fight, no one else pretty boy can fight will generate a lot of interest or money...although...if they 'play' this close and make it exciting, they could suck the public into a rematch then a third fight...which would generate millions for them...
Reply:It is certainly posible. If DLH wants to win, he will need to work the body, wear Pretty Boy down, try to slug with him
Reply:My guess is that maywether is gonna get his @$$ kicked in the beginning of the fight but like he always did and always will do is figure out his opponents style and dominate the rest of the fight just like he did with Zab Judah
Reply:i think that he Floyd Mayweather is going to win im mexican so people expect me to go for de la hoya but no im going for mayweather
Reply:Oscar is going to win but it won't be on finese. Oscar has more power and that will be the difference. Oscar beat Whitaker when Oscar was younger. This version of Oscar is not as fast but more powerful with the added weight.

Oscar will win like he did against Vargas by stealing Floyd's heart late.
Reply:I was standing right there in the Tomas %26amp; Mack arena the night Pernell Whitaker won seven of twelve rounds and knocked Oscar down on his way to getting robbed. Yeah, Whitaker shamelessly ran the last 5, and I was impressed how Oscar adapted to the Whitaker style later in the fight, but I can tell you the truth, from up close and personal, Whitaker beat Oscar and got ripped off on the decision.

DeLa Hoya doesn't have the ability or the speed to out box Floyd, he must KO Mayweather to win their fight. If it goes the distance, and it should, Oscar is coming out on the short end of the descision unless the judges use some creative scorekeeping.
Reply:i would really be surprised for oscar to win a 12-rounder, he is considerably older and slower than floyd and is not what he once was...mayweather is a cocky showboat but he is also one of the greatest fighters, pound for pound, of all time
