Guys! Which smells better? (Girls too...which do you think guys would like better?)?

From bath and body works: Sweet pea, or warm vanilla sugar??
Guys! Which smells better? (Girls too...which do you think guys would like better?)?
Can't resist a girl with warm vanilla sugar, even a ugly one.
Reply:Out of those two, I would go with the sweet pea, but I gotta tell you. I know this girl who wears sensual amber from bath and body, and everytime I see her, I just want to attack! Yum.
Reply:My wife has been wearing warm vanilla sugar since we've met, and I'm 22. I love the smell of that more than anything. It's sweet, and nice at the same time. That'd be your best choice.

Raised bed garden question.?

I planted green beans, snap peas, carrots, radishes, and peppers in my 4'x4'x12" raised garden beds. I have chicken wire and weed block plastic on the bottom to prevent animals getting in and weeds growing up into the bed.

I used bagged top soil along with bagged manure. I also put in some time-releasing food.

The plants get at least 6 hours of morning sunshine and at least 4 of afternoon sunshine.

However, my peppers are not growing (only one small shoot came up) and my green bean plants are yellow and seem to have stunted growth (they've been about 6 inches tall for about 2 months now.)

My other plants seem to be doing very well. The sweet peas are about 4 feet tall and have tons of pods. I've already harvested one batch of radishes... and the carrots are growing nicely.

Is there something I should add to the soil? Any suggestions for my poor green beans? I don't want to burn them with chemical fertilizers and don't have access to compost.
Raised bed garden question.?
I will give you what help I can here. I have no idea what seeds you bought or how old they were, but this could be the problem. Also the weather could have been unsuitable for the growth (sounds like too cold). I prefer to buy the plants for peppers and tomatoes and when I plant them I dig a hole and put in a thick muddy mixture of the soil dug out, , a cup of bonemeal, and water. Then I simply put the plant roots into the thick mud mixture and the bonemeal will rot to give great plants and peppers (or tomatoes). Also, since you have no compost, why not just do as i do and bury table scraps (not meats) as you plant. I always do and they break down and become usable fertilizer. I never use chemical fertilizer either.

Hope some of this helps.
Reply:you used plastic under the ground to prevent weeds, i understand but i hope it is not under your plants as well. they will burn up, the roots wont be able to go deep enough to get water or escape the heat of the sun.
Reply:I can see a problem with weed-block plastic on the bottom of the bed. That means your growing depth is only 12" - or less, if the soil doesn't come all the way up to the top. That stuff will keep things from growing up through - but also keep the roots of your plants from growing DOWN. The peppers have deep roots, and probably are complaining about the confinement.

Peas are shallow-rooted, as are carrots (depending on the variety) and radishes, so they should be happy enough.

I wouldn't have thought the beans would be THAT unhappy, though...so maybe there are nutritional deficiencies. There are organic fertilizers out there. Fish emulsion is a cheap, basic fertilizer you might try starting with.
Reply:There is just one problem I see and that is the plastic weed barrier. If the plastic is just layed flat over the ground there shouldn't be much of a problem. If the plastic comes up the sides of the raised bed that is the problem because the plastic is making a lake out of your bed. Do some investigative digging and see how wet the soil is.

Bath and Body Works scents?

my fiancee's mother sent me a $50 gift card to Bath and Body Works for my birthday. i've never really experienced Bath and Body Works because i've never really been that girlie. well now i like wearing perfume and lotion and stuff like that, but i dont know which scents are the best at B%26amp;BW and I don't want to spend 1800 hours smelling all their stuff.

which are your favourites?

and i already know how great Sweet Pea is, but is there anything better?
Bath and Body Works scents?
I -love love love- their new temptations line. It's got this Orange smelling stuff...and their banana smells just like Laffy Taffy...Their tea and such is good, too. I'd definitely ask about the Temptations line when you get there, and smell that. :D

I like the coconut stuff, it's very nice ^^ And yes, Sweet Pea smells lovely. And my cousin's gaga over the Lime Verbana. But my FAVORITE is the French Vanilla...It smells so sweet, I love it.

But really, you should just take the time to smell some of them yourself. Nobody knows as well as you do what you like. :]

2.sparkling peach

3.cucumber melon
Reply:Two that I really like are: Moonlight Path and Sensual Amber
Reply:my favorites are grapefruit and raspberry
Reply:Coconut lime verbana hands down. And the mandarine orange one is good too.
Reply:I have been using their products for YEARS and I LOVE Freesia which they have discontinued....they have a new one wild honeysuckle that I really like.

The fun part about that shop is to smell everything.

BTW....they have the best candels too.
Reply:I love the Japanese cherry blossom scent and the coconut lime verbena - but that's just me.

Cherry blossom is a good winter scent, coconut is better in the summer.
Reply:If you like sweet pea then you may like some of the milder scents such as dancing waters, a new scent that is awesome. I like moonlight path too it is a laid back but nice smelling one.

I personally like their fruit scents. My favorites are Mango Mandarin and sparkling Peach.

Also their Henri Bendel line is heavenly if you find it on sale (it is a pricey line).

If you are a candle girl, I can vouch for their lasting scents. On that front I like to use Fresh linen or Cotton scents for the house (candle or wall fragrance) because they give the house a nice clean smell. Great idea if you have any pets.

Good luck!!!
Reply:i like the vanilla sugar and the coconut lime verbena they smell soooo good!!!!
Reply:Definitely try White Cherry Blossom, Magnolia Blossom, Moonlit Path, and the new Pomegranate scent. Those are my favorites right now. But, pretty much anything in that store smells good!
Reply:I like the moonlight path one. =]
Reply:sweet pea is my favorite too.

ask one of the employees what they recomend too or let them know why kind of scents you like... fruity or flowery.

Boys -- I need your opinion!?

I want to get all the same scented stuff, like the same scented shampoo, handsoap, lotion, air freshener in my room, and perfume. I'm not sure which one I want, so guys, what scent do you think is the most attractive on girls? Like, coconut-lime, mango/citrus, vanilla, rasberry, sweet pea, or something else?
Boys -- I need your opinion!?

Reply:seriously...you will smell good to guys no matter what you use... go with something you like and feel comfortable with... but personally, I am a mango/citrus guy.
Reply:Vanilla is the best smelling thing in the world when you open a bottle of real vanilla and take a deep inhale -- but the fake vanilla smell found in all manner of consumer schlock is horrible!! Coconut smells a little too beachy (like suntan oil or something). Sweet pea sounds nice.
Reply:i'm not a guy.. but vanilla's hot!!
Reply:well firstly, boys put aftershave on - not perfume, and that hugo boss thing is really good and joop, but you want something that can attract women and have it all over you. well believe it or not urine (your piss) acts like perfume to girls, so call your friends over n tell em 2 piss n a bucket n den do wat u do bes wid it - jus don't drink it....
Reply:Mango I like eating mango so well thats my opinion
Reply:mango = mancum
Reply:Sweet Pea :) very nice smell
Reply:Jack Daniels.
Reply:definately citrus for the facilities. maybe raspberry for your hair, of what you have listed I dont care for the rest.
Reply:ummm... my sis uses this perfume...i think its jasmine and it smells good... in my opinion
Reply:Forget Coco stuff. it stinks. Most of the rubbish you mention are for whorehouses. A good perfume from Harrods would soon infuse your cloths and bedding, then phone me.
Reply:I love strawberry it's really sweet to smell and it is really fruity.
Reply:I'm not a guy but I know for a fact that cinnamon attracts men's attention. A hint of cinnamon, though not pure.
Reply:Dont bother what guys think . Use pachoulli and attract me !
Reply:GOD do NOT Get vanilla. a LITTLE vanilla is ok but when u sit there smelling it for a while u start getting a headache and its terrible. get anything else seriously.

    Wedding Flowers Questions!?

Hi all, i am looking for some place that lists the average costs for certain flowers in the midwest based on the time of year and such. I am trying to decide which flowers will be the most economical out of the choices I want for my wedding. I am currently looking at Gerbera daisies, or Sweet Peas. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
    Wedding Flowers Questions!?
I worked as a floral designer in Minnesota for over 15 years. I would suggest you go to at least three different florists and ask for price quotes. Tell them you are on a budget and then see what they suggest. Very few flowers are grown locally in this area, so you won't save much by asking for local flowers. You will save by finding a florist who does good work at a reasonable price and who will suggest different ways to do things that will save you money.

However, to specifically answer your question, you probably don't want to ask for spring flowers like tulips, lilacs and lily of the valley unless they are blooming here. Gerberas are available most of the year, so you are safe with them. Also keep in mind that some flowers don't hold up well enough to be used in wedding bouquets because they wilt too fast or because their stems are to delicate.

Again, go check out some florists. Most, if not all of them will give you a quote at no charge and you don't have to tell them you are shopping around.

    Have a great wedding!
Reply:Can't help so much for the prices etc but you may consider this...

If you are having your wedding at a place where another wedding will be held the same weekend, you may be able to share to cost of the flowers with the other wedding party.

My aunt once owned a business that specialized in flowers for wedding %26amp; wedding consulting. This was an option that some people do consider.

When my sister got married, her flowers were bought wholesale (b/c of aunt's license) but she still spent a small fortune on flowers that ended up at my place when everything was over.

    Note on silk flowers...

They are Gorgeous, I still have my wedding bouquet and it looks just as good today as it did 10 years ago.

BUT, some churches will NOT allow the use of silk flowers. They may allow them in the reception hall but not in the sanctuary. If you start to think along those lines, clear it with your church before you invest the cash.
Reply:If you're looking for economical.....have you considered making your own arrangements out of silk flowers? Some look quite real(including the gerbera daisies, which I love) and they'll last forever so they make great gifts for your bridal party. Depending on your skills, they can be dramatic (huge bouquet) or simple....single or triple calla lilly (just wrap the stems together with silk ribboon and secure with decorative pins )for example. People may say "It's your wedding day, go all out" but flowers die and in the end it is you, the food and the music that people remember.
Reply:Call a wholesale florist.....they know market prices. If you are Columbus, Ohio there are two downtown. If you are near LA, the downtown flower market is very inexpensive. Farmer's markets also would be very inexpensive, especially if you could let them know in advance what you need.

On the other hand, it is your wedding....not a time to choose the cheapest flower, as it will be in the photos you show your grandchildren. Buy what moves you and you won't regret it.

Sweet Peas are very fragile and won't hold up even to the reception. Gerbera daisies are very bright and bold and would be difficult to match to a satin and sequined gown. Try to match the flowers to the rest the wedding starting with your dress. Roses are tough and available year round.(it takes quite a while to dethorn them). It may be better to go with just a few flowers rather than a massive bridal bouquet. Think a few white callas versus a 3 dozen rose bouquet by viewing bride's magazines for ideas.
Reply:Well...some things to think about...Sweet peas are wonderful, and so are gerbera daisies. However you will have to put wires in the daisies...like you would on most arrangements...and depending on how long your wedding is, they might look really bad by the end of it. Sorry....they do not last long, they brown....

Now as for the list of flowers....try calling a local florist and asking them where they buy there flowers, there should be a large market someplace. If you have any friends that business licenses they can get the flowers ( think of an open air market for just flowers )
Reply:Just a thought... for our wedding we did both fresh and silk flowers. the wedding party and my bouquet was all fresh, but all other corsages were silk, made nice momentos for the family, as they were able to keep their flowers.

If you have a Costco membership - they usually have beautiful fresh flowers. We talked to the supplier and got awesome prices and put in an order beforehand for what we wanted. Note: we were only able to get the flowers... we had help making putting arrangements together for our ceremony and reception.

Congrats and have a beautiful wedding day!
Reply:well, I just finished a wedding yesterday for a woman who wanted nothing but gerbera daisies, and she was on a SERIOUS budget. Just remember, daisies are a casual flower, so if you want a more formal wedding I would stick to sweet peas.

Do you know all your pet(s) personalities?

Call me a dimwit halfwit or nitwit, but I know every single pet I have, through and through.

Maybe I'm a little feeble minded, but I find it amusing to understand them and see how people are very similar.

For instance, there's "Sweet Pea" just hanging around, hasn't been the same since his wife died two years ago. So many people are like that as well.

    "Rusty's" baby was born yesterday.

"Elvis" isn't as good as he used to be, kind of reminds me of the "King of Rock and Roll", for which I named him...towards the end.

Guess what animals they are and win the ten pointer!
Do you know all your pet(s) personalities?
    Cute question.

    My guesses are:

    Sweat Pea is bird

    Rusty is a horse and

    Elvis is a dog

But they are all your babies!
Reply:Since one of your remaining animals had a "wife", answering this question is somewhat impossible.

    How about this question....

Where on earth do they recognize animal marriage, and how do you know the animals consent and agree to what is going on?

I'm still going to guess horses.

Who is going to win Project Runway?

I think its gonna be Rami with Christian in second, but Sweet Pea might surprise us.. her dress was fab last week. What do you think?
Who is going to win Project Runway?
I'm putting my money on Rami, Christian and either Jillian or Sweet P to make it to the finals. It will all depend on their collections before I can pick a winner. I like Rami best and his work is beautiful, but like Uli last season, he might not be considered all that innovative. We'll have to see what he sends down the runway.
    Reply:Hopefully Chris March will win..
Reply:I think the top 3 will be Jillian, Chris and Christian. Rami has talent, but depending on the challenge, if he drapes again he's out! I think Sweat P has talent too, but for everything she gets right, she gets 2 wrong. I think Jillian will win!
Reply:There is so much talent this season - I like so many of them!

I am gonna say Jillian will win - but I love Chris and Christian.
Reply:I think Christian will be at least in the top three.

your story is hilarious. well, this weekend my boyfriend was on his way home and he called to ask if i wanted something to eat. I told him, i was a bit hungry but not really sure what i wanted to eat so i told him to get whatever. In he comes 15 minutes later with NO food for me. he says, he couldn't think of anything he thought i might want to eat. but, I specifically told him get me anything. that pissed me off..yeah, our other halfs do the dumbest things sometimes i swear.

  • Floyd Mayweather vs. Pernell Whitaker at 135?

    I pick sweet pea.

He did something that a lot of slick boxers don't do He would savagely attack the body. Take a look at his fight with Chavez I recall a few four punch combos to Julio's body.

This would definitely slow PBP down.
Floyd Mayweather vs. Pernell Whitaker at 135?
Few fighters amaze me. Flloyd comes real close. But Pernell did. Guys like Tyson, Gatti, Ali, Robinson etc. have something that simple makes you say "WOW!!!" Pernell was in that league. Even when he (rarely) DID get hit, he was like a piece of rubber. You could hit him, and do NO damage because he'd move with it. Pernell only REALLY lost to Trinidad. Yes, he came up short on decisions, but those really could have went either way. I go Whitaker by decision 8-4 rounds.

Reply:In Vegas, Mayweather by decision. Anywhere else, where fights are judged on merit rather than protecting the cash cow: Whitaker. Sweet Pea could fight effectively against any style, which I found amazing. I don't think pretty boy could handle PW's leftyness nor his awkward style which combined to make him a hard fighter to prepare for.
Reply:You know we forget how great some fighters were in there prime it,s easy to say that Mayweather would win now just think if Tommy Hearns would have come along be for Sugar Ray Leonard a lot of people would have said that Tommy Hearns would have killed Leonard we know now that did not happen This would have been a great fight Mayweather is a great athlete but in 1996 I saw him at the Olympics he lost to a fighter that he should not have lost to. tale of the tape height same weight same speed same defense same heart same power same ring smarts same this fight is a draw rematch has been signedfor the Fall of next year
    Reply:Whitaker by UD
Reply:Good fight here! Mayweather is probably the stonger fighter but "Sweet Pea" Is really a clever and smart fighter able to pick his spot with pinpoint accuracy. I believe that Whitaker would frustrate Mayweather Jr landing combos and then moving out of trouble before Mayweather can do a lot of damage. Mayweather would make a fight out of it late in the fight but it wouldn't be enough as Whitaker wins the decision.
    Reply:Floyd.
Reply:Whitaker. To slick and crafty, even for fighter of Floyd's caliber.
Reply:Sweet Pea, who had the skills and toughness to deal with someone like Floyd, who has defrauded the boxing public for years.

Why were Popeye cartoons centered around food ?
Well, Olive’s entire family were Oyl’s; this includes her brother Castor, her parents Cole and Nana, and her uncle, Lubry Kent!

I think it is just cute names that the writer (Elsie Segar) made up for them. Wimpy was the only one who was portrayed as a glutton and a con artist, always mooching for food, so he never did a lick of work in his life.

Sweet peas have a very pretty little flower that smells nice, so it was probably chosen as an ironic name for a homely baby that had to be changed all the time.

The name sweet pea was another subliminal attempt at this by implying that peas are sweet like candy and kids should try them.
Reply:Remember the song from the Robin Williams movie

    "Everything is Food"

The songs were cheesy- but a DEAD ON representation of the original EC Seagar characters

Don't forget the original comic, Thimble Theatre, originally was the adventures of Olive Oyl's brother Castor and his friend Ham Gravy

You can't make this stuff up!

My mom wants bath & bodyworks stuff for xmas and im confused?

i really dont know anything about this stuff. she wants sweet pea purley silk body splash. its not on the website and when i called the store they had no idea what i was talking about. i told her and she said regular body splash is fine, but i looked on the website and they dont have it in sweet pea. do they still make silk (or not) body splash in sweet pea? THANKS
My mom wants bath %26amp; bodyworks stuff for xmas and im confused?
    Maybe she would like this:

or this would be good and it is not to expensive and has the body spray in it:

Reply:Just go to the store and get someone to help you. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. If you can't find exactly what you're looking for, they can help you find a nice alternative. This doesn't have to be as hard as you're trying to make it. Just go to the store and it'll all work out!
Reply:go to the store...body splash is just like bath soap just that its in liquid form...if you cant find it just get her something else of sweet pea like lotion or shampoo
Reply:Sweet Pea is a very popular scent... the purely silk is a very popular selection they sell. I would get her the sweet pea regular body splash and the sweet pea purely silk body lotion. It is good to wear scents in layers.

my local bath and body works says they do carry the purely silk sweet pea..but is sold out at this time.
Reply:get the gift certificate in their promotional basket.
Reply:Well she seems very demanding on what she wants!! But since you do know she likes that particular scent you could get her shampoo or something else of the same kind. If your feeling particularly generous get her the whole colection of sweet pea. If you go the store explain your situation the clerks would love to help you. They have always been kind to me at the many different stores ive been to...
Reply:Yes. just go to the store and there are sales people that are there to help you, all you need to do is get of your backside and actually go shopping.

Hope you are all having a nice afternoon.....?

l was until i noticed some cat had used my garden as a cat litter tray and had dug up all my sweet peas!! and it now smells real bad.Has anyone got any advice for me ? Thanks so much
Hope you are all having a nice afternoon.....?
cats dont like citrus smells so put lemon and orange peel in the garden - it will decompose and hopefully put the cats off
    Reply:Sorry no!!!!
Reply:The fastest way to get rid of the odor is to clean it up. After the odor is gone, you can try all kinds of deterrents: moth balls, red pepper flakes, laying down a plastic cover. Try one at a time to determine which works best at keeping a repeat visit. Good luck %26amp; I hope your day gets better.
Reply:I saw a home improvement show once where the homeowner had problems with animals digging up her backyard. I believe they sprayed a solution of water and powdered eggs around the backyard which was supposed to have a foul taste and deter animals.
Reply:I've had problems with my rambunctious kitties tearing through my plants, and I found that mothballs did wonders. However, they do dissolve slowly so they have to be replaced periodically. My mother-in-law uses chicken wire and it seems to work well, too!! Good luck!
Reply:Maybe you should cover your garden with chicken wire then your cat wouldn't be able to get into it. My cats are being rambunctious right now, chasing each other around and playing!! They get hyper in the morning!! I'd say good afternoon, but its morning here!!

    Cheating and Pregnancy?

I have a strong feeling that my boyfriend is cheating, we just moved together, and he always claims he is at work, working from like 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and talks to his ex girlfriends, and recently had sum bytch textin him talkin about he is her pop tart and she is his sweet pea (that wack shyt)

he swears up and down he not but i dont beleive it one bit.

then he tells me he is used to us not having sex since i got preg and barely ask for anything, then we are home together he is mostly, on the computer or in another room.

i hate this, when we first met things were great even before i got preg. but now its horrible, we argue ev eryday and he says he wouldnt spend so much money on me if he was cheating but that could be his way of hiding it.

    please help!
    Cheating and Pregnancy?
girl maybe he's just still a little freaked out that ur pregnant and this is his way of dealing with it, not cheating, but talking to other people and staying away from you. U should sit him down and talk to him about what bothers u and how u guys can make it better. u know he still loves u babe, he's just adjusting to everything. but yeah, u need to put ur foot down and tell him to stop talking to his exes. he got u pregnant, now he needs to step up and take care of his family and put u and ur baby first. Ur number one girl
Reply:I'm sorry you have to deal with these thoughts. Sometimes pregnancy makes you think silly things since you're so emotional right now. You both need to sit down and have a serious conversation and get all these things out. You don't want to go through your whole pregnancy questioning every move he makes. You two need to come to some sort of understanding.
Reply:well that was dumb on both on both of you. you two are obviously not meant to be together and now you bring a child into the mess. thats whats wrong with this world now. he should be a husband first and have your priorities straight before making babies. why dont you people grow up before you do this crap!
Reply:Oh yeah...unfortunetly he is. I suggest you do some thinking on what's best for you and the baby. It might be a scary thought of going it alone, but sometimes its better that way. You certainly don't need to catch anything from him and cause problems with the pregnancy. I wish you the best.
Reply:take a couple of drives by his work. i know it sounds like stalking but you need to put your mind at ease. If you go to his work and he is not there don't call him out on it the first time. Go everyday for like a week and a half and make sure if he's not there you write it down that way he can't say he was on a break or something else like that. as for the text i'm not sure my Fiance occasionally gets weird text like that from his ex and he just ignores them. some girls just can't get a clue. oh and if he truely is working that many hours he should be bringing home a damn good pay check to you and the baby. good luck to you. oh and congrats!
Reply:reality, more than likely he is, and don't expect it to stop... sorry for you.... not being sarcastic, but that is the reality of it
Reply:Thats easy, check his hours at work and see if he really is working or surely it would show on his check stub.

If he really loved you he wouldnt be talking to his ex if he knew it bothered you and sure in the hell wouldn't have chicks texting him things like that.

And the money thing, sometime if a guy is cheating he will spend money on you because they feel guilty, and even if he does spend money on you so what...is that supposed to show you he loves you? Couldnt he find a better way.
    Reply:he is cheating.

pop up at his job when he claims hes at work. nobody works 16hrs unless ur a firefighter or a doctor. he dont sound like no doctor.

and lil nicknames are inappropriate for ppl who are not in a relationship.

tell him you need less of his money and more of his time.

ur pregnant you need his emotional and financial support.

GUYS! Which smells better? (girls can answer too please!)?

japanese flower blossom or sweet pea. I assume your asking about bath and body works. i recognized it after my mom asked me to go get her something there since she had an offer and pick something.

Did Pernell get robbed against JL Chavez?

It was was supposed to be one of the greatest fights ever, but it fell way short of that. Most people I know only remember that it was a draw, and they think sweet pea got robbed. I personally do not agree. I think he fought not to loose! He would punch and grab on for his life!

I was not expecting a war by any means! What I did expect was a fight similar to Hagler- leonard. But that fight was WW3 compared to the snore fest of chavez-whitaker!

Any fighter would be rendered useless if his opponent kept graving him! Foreman could have won an easy decision over ANYBODY if he went in landing a punch or 2 and grabbed! He would have been the greastest heavyweight ever!!! Not only that but that tactic would mean the end of boxing.

I thought it was a draw the whole way... I really didnt care who won! I just wanted to see a great fight.. 2 of the best ever going at it. Too bad there was never a rematch.
Did Pernell get robbed against JL Chavez?
I was hoping to see a fight similar to Taylor - Chavez! Like it or hate it... That fight was boxing at its best. But your right about the fight not living ups to its billing. It was a defensive masterpiece by whitaker. But the question is... Does that alone win you the fight?

Whitaker did nothing offensively. His punches had NOTHING on them. Part of the reason is that he was going backwards the whole night, and when he came forward he would hold.

Chavez was the aggressor, but he could not really get much offense going because Whitaker wanted no part of Chavez's body shots.

I saw it a draw too. I think Whitakers defense was awesome, but he got carried away. And yes sometimes the judges hold that stuff against you! But I would not have had a problem if Whitaker got the decision. I could not see Chavez winning at all... In his defense that was probably the easiest 12 round fight of his life because he did not really get hit with anything...
Reply:Well, Lou Duva did tell Pernell to Punch Chavez low to drop his guard. Report It
Reply:I think that Whitaker was robbed in that fight. I wouldn't be surprised, though. The promoter of JC Superstar then was Don King, what did you expect?
Reply:if you are talking about the Julio Cesar Chavez fight against Pernell Whitaker I don't think he got robbed. It was a very good close fight. Chavez is one of the best boxers of all time. I can't wait to see Oscar De la Hoya's last fight that should be good.
Reply:Whitaker clearly outboxed the great Chavez that night and deserved the decision in my opinion. Unfortuanately this wasn't the first time I have seen bad or hometown decisions or wondered what fight the judges were watching.
Reply:Dude, anybody that thought that fight was really a draw needs to take an immediate urine test for dope! Whitaker made Chavez look foolish and won at least 9 of the 12 rounds (and that's being kind to Julio) and he should have won the fight! Julio was unbeaten at the time and a Don King fighter, so you do the math!
Reply:Yes. I remember watching Chavez fire punches into thin air, he couldn't touch Whitaker. He looked old and tired by the end. Chavez was a great Champion, but, that night he was too slow, and not crafty enough.
Reply:The blogbaba will say it. Pernell Whitaker not only beat J.C. Chavez, but he also beat Oscar DeLaHoya and got robbed both times. The Chavez draw was a definite slap in Pernell's face, but the loss to DelaHoya was outright robbery. Blogbaba watched the Chavez fight on TV (many times since) and a weak argument can be made for the draw.

No argument can be made that Pernell knocked Oscar down, and won at least eight of the 12 rounds in that fight. Blogbaba was at that one, watched it in person. Television camera angles and the manner in which it was commentated and broadcast attempted to cast DeLaHoya in a much better light than his actual performance against Pernell showed. I will give Oscar this much, by the 7th or 8th round he started adapting to Whitaker's style, made some adjustments to his own fighting style, and actually improved as the fight progressed. That said, he still got knocked down and lost the majority of the rounds.

Oscar got that decision for the same reason he lost to Tito, Whitaker chose to run the last 4 rounds of the fight to play it safe and the scorekeepers frown on fighters coasting out. Oscar beat Ike Quartey by making the last rounds a war.

Pernell got robbed in the two biggest fights of his career, and if nobody else will say it, the Blogbaba will.
Reply:From what I have read about and seen of this fight, Pernell was indeed robbed (had Whitaker gotten the nod, it would have been Chavez' first loss). I gather that Pernell won the fight 8 rounds to 4, but it could've even been 9 to 3. Whitaker clearly outclassed Chavez, and it should have been the crowning moment of his career, but he was completely robbed by two judges who were either blind, corrupt, or both. One judge had it 115-113 for Whitaker.

People say that Chavez would have beaten Whitaker at a lower weight. This is irrelevant. Of course, Chavez was moving up in weight from 140, but Whitaker wasn't a natural welterweight either. His natural class was 135 and he moved up in search of bigger fights. In his prime (as when he fought Chavez), Whitaker outclasses a prime Chavez at 135, 140 or 147.
Reply:i think that no. because chavez did enough and that pernel witakher is also good but chavez had more wins so i think that he deserves the nod because chavez is mexican. i think it should have been a draw.
Reply:What fight were you watching? You really have no clue when it comes to boxing. Even Chavez' Spanish fans said he got a gift.

No rematch? Trust me, Chavez wanted no part of Whitaker.

How do i know if this girl likes me?

Well, I know a girl. I met her through a friend of a friend. She goes to High School with me. We've really got to talking lately. We don't hang out much during school. But it always seems like we're talking outside of school. We were talking online one day and she asked me if i liked anyone; I said I did but I didn't say who. Truth is I like her and I have since the moment I saw her. I then asked her who she liked and she said she wasn't sure if she liked the person or not. I left it at that. I also would like to add that I've told her on a couple occasions that I think she's cute and she accepted the compliment. She also calls me sweet pea; I call her cutie pie.

I'm really just not sure about this situation and am asking for your opinions. Does she like me?
How do i know if this girl likes me?
She probably does. Just ask her if she likes you. Just say that you think she does and if she does, then tell her what you feel.

Does this sound like normal eatting habits for a four-month-old?

My four-month-old just started eatting solids. He has taken to bananas, sweet potatoes, and green sweet peas really well. I am really surprised because my daughter showed no interest in solids until she was five-months-old. Now the thing is, is that he is starting to refuse formula during the day and prefferring solids (at night he will still eat two, 5-6 oz bottles); is this enough formula.... Here is a typical day:

Breakfast - half-jar of bananas %26amp; 4 oz of milk.

    Snack - 3 oz bottle

Lunch - half-jar of veggies (peas or yams) 3 oz bottle

    Snack - 3 oz bottle

Dinner - half-jar of something from the day before (peas or yams or bananas) 3 oz bottle

Night feedings - two 5-6 oz bottle

Does this sound appropriate to you?

PS He refused to eat baby cereal even if I mix something into it. Do you think he will be okay without baby cereal right now?? Did your baby ever refuse cereal? My first child LOVED cereal.
Does this sound like normal eatting habits for a four-month-old?
As long as he is getting 24-32oz a day.I did'nt introduce solids until 6mths.My doctor always said at 4mths they could have cereal but did'nt need the sugar that is in baby food at such a young age.If he likes it %26amp; seems satisfied,im sure he is fine.My 15mth old loved his cereal,my now 5yr old did'nt want much 2 do with it.They say that the cereal is his grain %26amp; should eat 2-3tbsp a day.If he does'nt like it you can't force him to eat it.Just keep offering it.Have you tryed mixing it up with diluted pear juice??He may like it better than mixed with formula.
Reply:He need to get 25-30 ounces of fluid a day.Take away some of the food if he doesn't get at least that much.
Reply:yes.give him what he wishes to eat.
Reply:Your not suppost to give your baby regular milk until he is a year old. Anyway, my son also hated the rice cereal until I tried making it with just water instead of using the formula. I would contact the baby's doctor and see what the suggest you do.
Reply:This is fine for him as long as he is getting some formula his taste buds have been stimulated and he likes it milk is boring to him at the moment but keep giving it to him as he still does need it in his diet but the amounts you are giving him are fine so don't worry the solid foods are filling him so he only needs to take less milk but this could change again when he grows good luck

Is that a picture of him he is gorgeous well done he looks perfectly healthy to me and plenty of baby fat on him which is good
Reply:I personally think he needs more formula per day they are suppose to have more of that then solids up to age one. On the cereal topic my son would barely touch the stuff he had no intrest in what so ever. I really couldn't blame him it looks kinda gross personally. Every baby is different just like you and I are when it comes to taste one child may love bananas like your son while another my think they are the yuckiest thing in the world. Good luck.
Reply:Sounds about right. If you're worried offer him formula more often. He won't let himself starve. If he's growing normally then he's fine. The ounces do seem to add up to the appx 25oz mark for his age.
Reply:yes this is fine he is cutting out the formula himself because he dont need as much any more this is what my little brother did.
Reply:No, it doesn't sound normal. While it might be more convenient for you, he may not be getting all the fat and protein his little body needs. 4 months old is seriously a bit young for that kind of a diet, IMO.

In order for his brain to develop properly he needs the fat, his body needs the proteins to grow and his bones and teeth need the calcium. He's not going to get enough of those things from fruits and veggies.

Talk to you son's ped and see what his recommendations are.
Reply:I feel your baby is getting enough formula (i.e 24 - 32 0z ), and a lot of baby food.

U can cut down maybe one feeding of soild and try to give more formula .

Another thing u can make sure is that you do not increase the amount of soild food you give him for sometime and try to increase the amount of formula.

I too started soild for my baby girl at 4 months and I feel that was the biggest mistake I did as she simply loved her cereal and veggies and absolutely refused formula.

So I had to stop the soilds completely and now that she is 5 1/2 months old I am giving her soilds again but in very small quantities.

My daughter too loved her cereal ,

Just make sure the formula you give him has Iron as he is missing out on iron fortified cereal.
Reply:Yes you are doing just fine. Ever baby is different he has different tastes then his sister. Just like you have different tastes then you husband. As long as he has normal bowl and bladder movements, he will be just fine. My kids are 15,11,9,3, and 3 months old. And my mom had nine, here dad was the town doctor, and he said if the kid is hunger then feed him what he likes at lest he is eating and growing health and strong. Lots of luck. enjoy them now.
Reply:omg that baby eats a lot for such a young age it is reccomended that you try to hold off weening a baby till as close to 6 months ask your health care worker she will be able to give you right advice
Reply:Those who are saying he is too young to start eating solids havent had a kid in a while.

My doctor said three months was a great time to start. However, my son was born 20 inches, but grew 4 inches and 6 pounds in two months. He was drinking about 10 ounces of formula every four hours. My doctor recommended half a thing of baby food before at least two of his feedings. Now he is doing great. Doesnt cry for more food, and still gets his formula afterwards.
Reply:Well he is liking to eat. He is still only four moths old. He needs his formula. Ask his doctor how much formula he should be taking in along with the feedings. At this age though the food fills him more he should dtill be taking more formula. Remember dont feed to much food his belly is only the size of his little fist if that so if he is getting to much or to many solid feeds in one day then his belly will be full and he will surley refuse the bottle. Hopefully I have helped I am a mother of 4 and know it is difficult to figure feedings out sometime but we have to set the feeding scale not let them. Feed him what he needs but make sure you get the formula in there. Get the exact amount he needs from his doctor they do know him as good as you do.
Reply:i think he is eating just fine, he seems to be getting a balanced diet, main thing is if he is doing well health wise (gaining weight as supposed to) check with the doctor but if he says its ok Id go with it.

Six month old not eating Vegetables?

I have recently started my six month old solids..She is not eatring her veggies..I have introduced rice cereal and she seems to like it so far when i mix the cereal with sweet peas...i have introduced apple sauce and green peas...I think i made a mistake of introducing sweet taste first..

SO now how can i make her eat her veggies..do i sneak her when i feed her fruit?Any advice is highly appreciated..thanks
Six month old not eating Vegetables?
Well as nasty as this sounds: Mix the veggies in with the fruit and U taste it. Find the right mix and try them with her. I also would give my lil one a spoon, seems if they had a share in feeding themselves (attempting) then they ate easier.
Reply:I'm not a believer in tricking your baby. Keep trying, and she may eventually acquire a taste for it. They say that you may have to offer a food up to 15 times before they like it.
Reply:Yup, sneak it in. That is what we did. At that age, if you get it into her mouth she will swallow it. Some rice cereal, some veggie, then some fruit. Nearly everyone has to do this.
Reply:My son didn't like green veggies or sweet potatos at first. However, he LOVED carrots. have you tried those? Also, I mixed in some cereal with the veggies.
Reply:Who likes vegetables when they're a kid? Babies are usually easiest little people (babies, children all included) to get to eat vegetables because they don't know anything...yet. You really can't blame her much either because baby food in the jars is liquified and looks gross. I imagine it tastes the same too.

As far as what to do, keep breast feeding her. She'll live.
Reply:My daughter hated her vegetables as a baby. I began alternating a spoonful of fruit/spoonful of vegetables. She caught on to that trend pretty quickly though. So I would get a spoonful of vegetables then dip them into the fruit so that was the first taste she got. It worked for her.
Reply:don't worry about it too much, at this age, they are still developing thier taste buds. Even if she doesn't like it now, she might like it later (in another month or two). It is hit or miss in what kids like at this age..Hold back on the fruits a few days before reintroducing the veges that way she will be more accepting of the veggies. try the carrots first, then beans, sweet potoatos before the peas...most kids don't like the peas at all (from the jar-make them fresh and mash them up for her and mix a little milk/formula with them-that worked for me)

Best of luck and don't panic if she won't eat certain foods right now, she will when she gets older.

Flowers with blue bridesmaid dresses at an outdoor summer country (but not too country) wedding?

We are having an outdoor ceremony at a little country Bed and Breakfast this summer, and I want to find some flowers that are not too formal, but not too country (a.k.a. wildflowers). I love wildflowers, but I want this to be just a notch above being that country and simple. It is my wedding, after all! :)

I love daisies, roses, sweet pea (that's what my mom has always called me), sunflowers, ranunculus, gerbera daisies, and mini calla lilies. I was just going to go with white flowers because the contrast with the blue dresses would be pretty. The color also has to look okay with the red roof on the B%26amp;B (but no red flowers please, just colors that would look okay and not clash with the red roof since we are thinking about having the ceremony leading up the steps of the house.)

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Pictures EVEN BETTER!!! :)

    THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!

Be careful with sweet peast - they're rather delicate. I insisted on having them in my bouquet because they're sentimental to me, so just be aware that if you do have them, to use them sparingly and keep your bouquet out of the heat as long as possible.

I wouldn't worry too much about the color of the roof of the house. You won't really even notice it.

Pinks and purples would be pretty:

My personal favorite is the all white but instead of the white ribbon use a ribbon in your accent color so it stands out and sets off the blue dresses.

Mens boutineers should simple single flower with a sprig of greenery... while mothers and grand mothers coursages should be simple 3 flower settings sprig of greenery and a bit of ribbon..
Reply:I think your idea of mixed flowers is a very good idea, Blue is such a neutral color, almost any flower would look fine against it. May I suggest one thing? The mini Calla Lillie's might be too formal in the type of bouquet you are suggesting.
Reply:Gerbera daisies strike a very good note between "country" and "formal" and they're absolutely gorgeous. I'd go with a single-color bouquet. Here are some photos of how it would look. I'd do ribbon-wrapped stems.

    Some recipies ideas please?????
    This is a fun question!

Okay - usually they are called taco roll ups but, we are going to improvise.

    1) Cream Cheese mix well with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, (usually it's made with taco seasoning) but, then toast a piece of bread and use as a spread.

    2) Mac and Cheese - Remove the Cheese and boil your noodles and you can add seasonings so you can save your cheese if needed (that would be an extra ingredient to place on your onion rings or french fries)

    3) boil your rice then you can fry your rice with your oil - it would be like friend rice without all the goodies but, it's still fried rice and use your seasonings.

    3) 1 can tomato soup, add your corn with your seasonings and you will have volume added to your soup. You can even add the croutons in it.

    4) Spinach drained, add a little bit of rice as a filler along with your seasonings or hot sauce.

I've been exactly where you are. Hang in there!!!! :-(

That's when I've always looked my best!! So, think about that positive thought....

When you have money - always buy a HUGE bag of rice - you can add anything to rice and it's also filling....

    UPDATE:

    Craving Something Sweet??

Lightly mix your wheeties with oil, then sprinkle with sugar then place them on a cookie sheet and bake them for about 15 minutes until golden brown and then that will be your treat when you are craving something sweet.

Also - you can boil, bake and or mash your potatoes and use the BBQ sauce as dipping sauce...

cook rice, rinse beans put in bowl with a little salad oil salt pepper and garlic powder, toss with rice--works better with vinager maybe add corn

add seasonings to cream cheese and top pasta

I don't know any more good luck!
Reply:go to the food network website . they have all kinds of recipes on it .you can probably find some good ones that are easy to fix.
Reply:I was looking in your list for some flour... I usually mix some flour with some water and salt... make it a dough, then flavor it with whatever I have.. cheese, oregano, butter, garlic... roll it on the table and fry it with oil... it tastes really good and you can come up with many many ideas. If I want it sweet, I use some cinammon and sugar.

You can flavor the rice with the tomato soup and garlic.

    Good luck!
    Reply:why not have stuffed spuds??

and just use a different filling each night, you could stuff some spuds with rice %26amp; beans cooked in the tomato soup with hot sauce added %26amp; sour cream on top (like chilli con carne) and you can also stuff the spuds with the mac and cheese..(trust me I have done this before and it is yummy.. even mac and cheese toasted sandwiches are good.. or stuff the spuds with spinich, corn and cream cheese.... you can also have a spin on a dish that I eat when low on food and is really yummy.. put the french fries %26amp; onion rings on a oven tray and mix some mayo, mustard and the cream cheese and some corn together and drizzle it over the fries and rings and bake in the oven till golden, then sprinkle lightly with paprika and use some sour cream to garnish... you could also cook a variation of fried rice with the rice corn, %26amp; sweet peas and onion fried in oil with some garlic powder and salt.. Although you have no soy, but I don't mind fried rice with tomato sauce instead sometimes... .. hopefully that will give you some creative ideas for some meals to get you through the week.. as for the cereal %26amp; muesli, If you work take it in a container to work and use thier milk for the week to get you by... don't starve now!!

    Im growing an herb garden...?

    Any tips?? I am growing:

    Cilantro

    Parsley

    Chives

    Sweet Peas

    Oregano

    Sage

    Mint

    Chamomile...

    Any tips for these plants?

and btw something keeps eating the tops off of the parsley and cilantro.
    Im growing an herb garden...?
Sweet Basil—full sun, pinch to get branching

    Rosemary—likes alkaline soil

    Cilantro—full sun

    Parsley—full sun

Chives—good drainage, can handle a wide range of light exposures

    Sweet Peas—like cool weather

Oregano—likes a little protection from west sun

Sage—run it towards the dry side, full sun

Mint—likes it wet, limit it’s growing area, it invades

    %26amp;

    Chamomile...sun, clip off the flowers

look for caterpillars munchin' on plants some butterfly larvae use them as a food source

When you ‘baby’ herbs, it weakens the intensity of flavors so neglect them a little
Reply:Parsley, dill, fennel and carrot are all in the same family and are host plants for the Eastern Black Swallowtail butterfly.

They lay their tiny eggs on these plants so that the larvae will have an immediate food source when they hatch from the egg. Another name for the larvae is Parsley worm. The best thing you can do is to put super fine bridal tulle or netting over the plants so that the butterflies can't lay their eggs on the plants.

All of the rest of the herbs you are growing except for the mint can do well in partial to full sun, but will need to be watered fairly often and will benefit from Neptune liquid fertilizer. The mint will do best in dappled shade.
Reply:Thyme is a must for an herb garden in my opinion... It is great for cooking and the small leaves are visually appealing. And there are many different types of mint that you might try (though I'm not sure what you might already have), peppermint and spearmint are good for the basics but there is a wide variety available. But mints do tend to take over if allowed, as do many oreganos, though all are easily removed/relocated. In my experience, the tall version of rosemary does best in an herb garden vs the bushier type that does better if grown alone. I've had the bush type try to take over and shade out a lot of my smaller plants. Make sure you keep your sweet basil topped--snipping off the flower buds will promote a bushier growth.

I don't know what growing zone you are in, but keep in mind that many of the plants you listed are annuals in most regions and aren't going to come back next year. I'm in zone 8 and rosemary, oregano, sage, mint and thyme are all perennials. My chamomile from last year came back this year, but we had a very mild winter that didn't kill it. An alternate to planting annuals outside is to get a strawberry pot (one of those taller pots with the holes in the sides) and plant smaller sized annual herbs in that--allowing it to remain outside until the late fall and relocating it inside for the winter.

And as for the pest that is topping your parsley and cilantro, it could be snails or slugs, maybe even grasshoppers. A pesticide free solution might be to add a few marigold plants in between herbs as those pests don't typically like them. Sounds like you have a good start though, good luck.

Pernell Whitaker vs. Terry Norris Who wins?

I think Norris would walk through Sweet Pea.

Norris' Chin was suspect but that would not be a factor in this fight due to sweet pea's lack of power.

    Thoughts?
Pernell Whitaker vs. Terry Norris Who wins?
I have to go against the grain here. Norris was at times a very reckless puncher and even though Sweet Pea was at his best at welter and below - I think he boxes Terry norris silly. I mean Oscar was a lot bigger than Sweet Pea and he was catching air with seven punch combinations.

If Tito in his prime couldn't knock out an old Sweet pea then I don't think Norris would even look good against him.
Reply:Sweet Pea would have moved like he always does %26amp; would have frustrated Norris. Tito was a harder puncher than Norris %26amp; he never had Pernell in trouble when they fought. Pernell had an excellent chin %26amp; great movement %26amp; great defensive skills. Norris wasn't in his class after defeating Sugar Ray Leonard then Norris did absolutely nothing after that. Whitaker in a easy decision.
Reply:Terrible Terry is too big for Pea.
Reply:I look at this fight two ways, one, Norris is bigger, stronger and has a power advantage. Two, Whitaker is very clever, deceptive, speedy, and knows how to fight defensive and frustrate his opponent in the ring. This would be a very frustrating fight for Terry early on but he would finally start connecting with the heavier punches midways through the fight with Whitaker holding on. The split decision goes to Terrible Terry in this one as the bigger man prevails.
Reply:Norris would beat the crap out of Whitaker, but get disqualified for doing something stupid at the end of the fight. So I guess my pick would be Whitaker.
    Reply:Norris.
Reply:Just go to youtube and checkout my boy sweet pea!!!!!
Reply:Though both are hall of famers, I think Whitaker would beat Norris on points. Norris was very good in his prime, but Whitaker may have been the best defensive fighter of all time.
    Reply:whitaker by unanimous decision.

Reply:Terry Norris. He was way too big. Most people couldn't hit sweat pea, true, but i bet that Terry Norris had a much longer reach than most fighters and definately enough speed to either keep pernell at bay and/or hit him.
Reply:I will take Norris to not only outpoint Whitaker but out box him.

Whitaker did lack in power and Norris is just too good on his feet to even get caught off balance which would be the only way Whitaker would knock Norris down.

Also to every one's concern this Maurice kid know absolutely nothing about boxing and has proven that on a question I asked Rock Vs Iron. GO answer it and check out what this kid put lol. It's totally hilarious!

    "Sweet Pea" by Amos Lee.

    "Sweet pea

    Apple of my eye

Don't know when and I don't know why

You're the only reason I keep on coming home

You're the only reason I keep on coming home..."

    See the ad here:

    http://www.splendad.com/ads/show/1696-AT...

    The full song lyrics are:

    Sweet pea

    Apple of my eye

Don't know when and I don't know why

You're the only reason I keep on coming home

    Sweet pea

    What's all this about

Don't get your way all you do is fuss and pout

You're the only reason I keep on coming home

I like the Rock of Gibraltar

    I always seem to falter

And the words just get in the way

Oh I know I'm gonna crumble

    I'm trying to stay humble

But I never think before I see

    Sweet pea

    Keeper of my soul

I know sometimes I'm out of control

You're the only reason I keep on coming

You're the only reason I keep on coming yeah

You're the only reason I keep on coming home

Do you think OLIVE OIL was giving it up to BLUTO and POPEYE?

And what about Whimpy,Sweet Pea,and Pappy?
Do you think OLIVE OIL was giving it up to BLUTO and POPEYE?
She certainly did leave Popeye to hang out with Bluto many times.
Reply:She was loyal to Popeye..... she gave it up to him and him alone. But given the opportunity, Bluto would have taken her against her will. Whimpy.... not a chance. Sweet Pea was a baby for heaven's sake! And Pappy..... well.... he would have teased her and flirted with her the way old men do who know they aren't getting anything out of it.
